Aflame

Aflame

He’s out there.  I know it.  I feel it.
55 years of searching.
It’s finally happening.
The feeling is indescribable, palpable, an immense yearning to meet.
The other half of my soul.
My Twin Flame.
The spark occurred one year ago by happenstance.
Or was it Divine Intervention?
Now it is time.
The beginning of my spiritual awakening.
Am I up to the task?
Only time and hard work will tell.

What will happen when we meet?
Will he know?
Will he feel the same inexplicable pull?
I dare not tell him
For that could ruin everything.
He might run away, not understanding.
He must discover it on his own.

There is much beyond this physical world
To which we must awaken.
Beyond the ego, beyond the tangible.
Beyond the mundane.

About this poem

This poem is the result of an unusual sequence of events in my life recently, which includes seeing the same number sequences. I have learned that this is the way in which our Guardian Angels communicate with us.
