Better Living Of Life

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Conflicting contradictions.

People say they wish a better life to live.
But only coming from this attempt done,
By the ones they select and pick...
To be incompetent and unqualified,
And sit in positions with no decisions made...
As to which direction,
That better life to live comes...
Done to make it that way.
An image,
To imitate it only satisfies the marketplace.
As do the worshipping of hypocrisies.
The kind that judges the color of one's face.
With this to determine,
Who better knows a better life means to live.

Conflicting contradictions.
Observed to witness,
The protected sickness of it.
And those claiming a better life wished to live.
Doing all they can to destroy,
The best of that life to live it blessed to get...
Wishing for it not to represent ethnic diversity.

Proving...
Hypocrites contradicting themselves,
Are the nonbelieving deceivers perceiving...
Themselves to reflect,
Approval and acceptance.
To image, delude and fiction it.
Yet in reality...
Have discovered,
Without people of color...
Their ability to survive independently,
Would not be a possibility...
To continue to feed a people in need,
Of having their egos massaged.
And pretensions addressed.
Kept to masquerade,
A nonexistent intelligence.
Overdosed on perception and self-deception!
