Waiting for His coming

I am waiting for the coming of the Christ who died for me.
To be there in His presence and His lovely face to see,
I’m longing for the appearing of Jesus Christ my Lord,
resting in His promises and I’m trusting in His Word.
I am waiting for the gates of heaven to burst open wide
When Jesus returns from heaven and welcomes us inside.
There will be no more waiting then for Jesus will have come
and we shall be with Him forever in our eternal home
About this poem
1 Corinthians 15:52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
