Come On...THINK!

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

We're running out of time.
Come on...THINK!

'I can't.'

What do you mean,
You CAN'T THINK?
Do you realize how serious,
This trouble you have us all in?
How do you expect,
Our abilities to defend you...
Will not become a comedy TV series?
To be paid at our expense.
Come on.
Come on...try harder.
Our reputations are on the line,
Trying to provide you some defense.
Listen to me.
And listen to me clearly.
Listen to me good.
YOU HAVE GOT TO HAVE,
AT LEAST ONE LIE LEFT...
YOU HAVE YET TOLD TO TELL.
I am a lawyer and trained to lie.
I can do it in my sleep.
I make them up when I go to pee!
BUT...
YOU, OF ALL PEOPLE ARE SAYING,
YOU HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL YOUR LIES?
THAT'S A LIE.
DO YOU HEAR ME?
DO YOU HEAR ME?!
THAT-IS-A-LIE!!
NOW...THINK!

'I can't.
I'm telling you the truth.
And, I'm trying to do it.
HONESTLY.
Believe me.
But...
I can't!'

I do not believe this.
I was so sure we would win this case.
I promised my mistress,
A trip to the Bahamas.
