Consequences Of Love

Pain in my heart can keep my mind out of focus.
Look deep into myself to find where the problem lies.
On again, off again, I see my life flash before me,
Unconscious of the truth that I am dying inside.
Crying does not help me, discussion holds no justice,
The fear of breaking down consumes my every waking moment.
How could this be, how could her words cut so deep?
How could she use those words in victory contemplating my defeat?
What makes the evil of ones soul so quickly flow from their mouth?
It's an equation I can't solve because math never taught me how.
Playing Russian roulette, gambling with my every breath,
now I sit across the chess board from the spirit of death.
His pawns are set before me and he's focused on my Queen. Not only had she cheated death, her words of passion cheated me.
How was she so dam precocious, how was I so dam naive? Her words were genius, and her beauty made her easy to believe.
Words are hurtful and deceitful, contemplative yet serene. Whispered by a pretty face they could mean dam near anything.
I guess her mother failed to teach her, words could summon lethal acts, if she could reach them from her grave, I bet she'd take I Love You back....

Consequences of Love, don't say it, unless you mean it.
