PERSPECTIVE

a tree in my garden
i've loved all my life
i sun it by day
and i water at night

so one day i asked
(and asked so polite)
excuse me but why
do you lean to the right?

on my trunk moaned the tree
you may see a small cleft
but you're on the wrong side
and i lean to the left

i appear tall and straight
from o'clock three or nine
so if you look correctly
i'm perfectly fine.
