Irresponsible Wrecklessness

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

When has it been condoned,
Then be forgiven.
A wrecklessness to commit.
Known.
Yet,
Responsibly dismissed.
With it done declared,
An act of innocence.
And just what makes the difference,
Of an irresponsible wrecklessness committed.
Than a wrecklessness,
Observed to witness.
Although depending upon who does it,
Is judged a dismissal.
And forgiven as a juvenile activity.
To then be warned,
As one is spanked on the wrist.
Told and warned repeatedly,
If the act is done once again...
They may just face the consequences.

But that warning told and heard goes ignored.
And those consequences to pay,
Has one calling their bank...
To increase the debt limit on their credit card!
A credit provided,
Through an inheritance.

'Hello.
Yes...
If possible I need an immediate increase,
In my debit limit.'

'Sure.
No problem.
How much would you like?'

'Ummm...let's see,
Ten thousand dollars?'

'Of course.
Small or large bills?
Or yes,
Should we also increase...
The debit limits,
Of your other accounts as well?'

'Why not?'

'You have a good day.
That should only take a few minutes.'
