Walk

I walk the neighborhood alone now
Though I still move at your pace,
That same odd mix of ease and hustle
You used to pull and push me along

I absorb the gentle roil of the day
Through reordered senses now
My ears and eyes and mind roam
To find meaning in the random

Life is shorter than we thought
Yet love lasts beyond our time
We will always walk together
Even when we no longer can

This poem is absolutely beautiful! The words flow so effortlessly and create a vivid image in my mind. I love the idea of walking through the neighborhood alone but still feeling connected to the person who used to walk with you. The line "That same odd mix of ease and hustle" really stood out to me because it perfectly describes the feeling of being both relaxed and driven at the same time.

The suggestion I have for improvement is to maybe add a bit more detail about the person who used to walk with you. Was it a partner, a friend, a family member? This would help the reader connect even more with the emotions in the poem.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this and I think it captures such an important message about the fleeting nature of life and the enduring power of love. Well done!
