Under the shade of a Gulmohar tree.

Under the shade of a Gulmohar tree.

The colors of orange and pale red
the drizzling white interlude
Shivering spirited with blowing winds
Yesteryear tales bucking the trend
Under the shades of gulmohar tree
Ping me with back memories
The saffron flowers of gulmohar
smiles gleaming red swirling around
swinging a slower note
Mysterious chivalry surrounds
The native of Madagascar.

Walking along the shades barefoot
My Alma meter closer yards away
Mapping  stamps of my footnote
The blossomed flowers
Bring the heaven on earth
Spilling the flavour all around
Signalling the arrival of spring.

Chill weather yearns sometimes
Clinging the blazer to bolt
Chimeras shrouds the evening.
Back then the air was not so polluted
Fresh one fill the nose to breathe,
decades back of falling memory.
Chewing the petals of rosy flower
a strange taste to indulge freely
An eerie sound silently engulf
the vacant space.

The shades of gulmohar tree
Presents pictures of past dwelling
Hanging in my dreamy walls
The happy moments egging out
The otherwise a dull life losing vigour.
Longing to go back in time
to revisit the schooling age
And rejuvenate the heart and mind
Now I need a selective amnesia.
