Uncertainly

A friend from afar
For my love is a tornado in a jar
A love real bizarre
Just enough to travel far.

My darling, my dear
A friend filled with sheer
In the shadows I stand here
Comes a single light; shines clear.

To a friend from afar
Though it left me with a deeper scar
Gradually healing, not just once
As I sing another chorus with this guitar.

A friend from afar
I may not be the best
Out of all the people in this world
I would like to ask once again
Will you be my special guest?

About this poem

I wrote this poem for someone who filled me with so much joy and pain. Now that she's away, I'm left with the memories we've made together and a friendship no one can replace. The memories I can't see with someone else in the future. It's been months with no contact, but it's you that I will miss. It's nice to meet you, and I can't wait to see you again soon.

I don't consider myself to be a poet; I just wrote one to explain my thoughts and feelings to avoid feeling lonely. I was motivated to write as many verses as I could about my emotions and feelings towards this particular person. I also like to write poems and am now working on a song. I hope you find this poem I wrote to be interesting, though it's not enough to steal your attention. I want to write more poems and share them with you guys. It's a more effective way of expressing ideas and emotions. more…
