Addicted, but kicked it
A rebel and misfit
lived in a Glass
made of Crystal
now smashed
 
Saved by her lover
and angels..
Time passed..
Now she’s going slower
Better to go slow
than Go Fast
 
Life isn’t real nice
when you’re frozen in Ice
Before giving up
you ought to think twice
The warmth of self-kindness
will change your whole life
The warmth of your kindness
has changed my whole life

I wrote this poem for my friend, Suzanne. She is celebrating 20 years sober from crystal meth in 2022.
