SONG OF BIRDS

Father of alliteration 1992 (Kano state)

Ode

Can birds speak in literary tongue?
We walked through dark forest of poetry where Owls hang on the wings of trees;
Volumes of hoots swelling Higher like Hymns,
Bunch of beautiful birds blowing ballads in Bush
Rehearsing rhymes in raining season;
Sparrows sing symphonies like soothing song.
Parrots nurturing tales of nature like old tellers;
Vultures verbalise verses with vocal vibration.
