OLD TOWN ROAD.

deep strings and rooted trees
dark harvests and menace-looking skies
birthed permission to prevail
the confession in my state of confusion
was my strongest conclusion
racing on this old town road
has been the biggest gig
'cos I fasted to be fast
on my marks
to get all of my marks
hossana's turned fans
of the witchhunted one
just like 'The Weekend'
victims of blinding lights,they are
my waves,impossible to diffract
streams of salty mixture
is their new pleasure
haze invades
and gaze evacuates
now I'm the new 'Garden of Eden'
you can't touch this!

About this poem

This is a reflection of my past self. It started from becoming a teenager. Fighting with my feelings, trying to fit in,trying to get attention and all that. Gradually losing myself trying to please people till I decided to be myself, unlock my mind and be happy again. So yeah, that's my OLD TOWN ROAD.
