Moon

Sriparna Chatterjee 2007 (West Bengal)

If darkness were the space,
Then it would have been my happy place.

I'd write sonnets to the moon,
And would dream of the bloom !

I'd make the oceans shine,
And the lit the stars if they were mine.

I'd wander from place to place,
And make him win the ace.

I'd stare at him as if he were the moon,
And write him sonnets as if he were my moon !!
