If only she knew

If only she knew:
To the woman, if only she knew,
That the love for her will always be true.
I can’t help, but wonder why,
Why a day goes by.
That I have yet to hold her tight,
Oh, I will not give up a fight.
One day she will see,
How much she means to me.
She has a beautiful face,
One I will never replace.
An amazing smile,
That I long for all while.
Despite what she may say,
I’ll wait for her day by day.
For she is the one in my heart,
I do not want to be apart.
When she says “I love you”
I’ve never heard anything more true.
To be a part of her life,
Would be worth any strife.
When she holds my hand,
I melt like quicksand.
When we pinky swear,
Nothing will ever compare.
My eyes would always be gazing,
As she is nothing shy of amazing.
She would bring out pure laughter,
I will be here, from now on and after.
She’s my brown-eyed girl.
Like a diamond, or a pearl.
Her love is indescribable,
Her mind is very knowledgeable.
There is so much to admire,
She will always be my inspire.
Her vibe is genuine,
That no one can ruin.
I will always say “I’m yours”
I’ll keep open my doors.
I don’t care how long it will take,
We will get past this little break.
Until she loves herself,
My love will sit on the shelf.
I may get dusty,
But I will never feel empty.
Another chance with her,
Would only be so pure.
I would go to all ends if this earth,
Just to see her smirk.
No one knows what she means,
Oh, how I love our nightly routines.
To kiss her goodnight,
And wait for her eyes to close tight.
To see her mind at peace,
I can’t help, but give her another squeeze.
Each and every night I swear,
To continue to play with her hair.
For the next morning to arrive,
I wake up next to her, happy to be alive.
Every morning I would kiss her goodbye,
And see that twinkle in her eye.
At night I would await her arrival,
As she was my survival.
The last thing I want is to see her struggle,
And push me away and then I stumble.
I want to be there as a support,
But now I feel I’m falling short.
I want her in close range,
I don’t want her heart to change.
I am not here to lecture,
I just want her future.
We may never end this battle,
Right now it’s me, or the bottle.
Things may not always be what they seem,
But baby, we are a team.
What do we have in store?
Not sure, but I love her more.
I wish I could run up and give her a tug,
That led into an everlasting hug.
If she gave me her heart to claim,
I promise to have that eternal flame.
She puts on a show,
So her friends don’t know.
But I know her better,
Which is why I am sending this letter.
She needs to know what she is strong,
Together is where we belong.
I will not push, I will not shove.
Because I know deep down she still has love.
Love that I would be honored to feel,
Because nothing has every felt so real.
I wish for the day for her to be happy,
As I write this poem, we all know I am sappy.
My main wish,
Is she knows that we’ve got this!
I will give her some space and let her be,
Hopefully in the future she will be happy with me.
