AUTUMN

Little tree with a beautiful flower,
Not the body , her soul had the power.
When she smiled, we saw world through her broken tooth,
Her eyes sparkled, filled with joys of youth.

And then came autumn, the flower dried.
Petals fell first, the core then cried.
Trembling with fear, she still stood bright,
When everything around her lost its light.

But that year, autumn didn't last long.
Among the withered nature, a flower stood so strong.
She was the most beautiful girl I saw,
Her heart so pure, her thoughts so raw.

Now she stood strong in her lane,
And autumn never touched her again.
Nature bestowed its beauty on this girl,
Not the body, her soul was pearl.

About this poem

This poem is about all of us. How each and every one of us faces challenges in life , are withered at times like the autumn season for leaves, and how we overcome every obstacle to push forward for the summer of our lives. It centers around a little girl, who , although young by age has the most powerful heart and soul.
