Mother's Day

Mother's Day.

Mother, Amma, amme,
Mum, Mummy and Maa
All resonate with love
Encompassing affection.

A Day, truly a joyous moment
To give back in reciprocity
The love, the affection,
The warmness and the belonging.

Mother is a God incarnate,
Infusing oxygen in one's life
Fusion with the old and modern
Fearless to guard the siblings.

Maa, the mere name calms
The solacing mind in distress
It evokes all memories of hardship
Struggles eschewed amid losses.

The mother is an eternal love
A living monument,
Possessive creature of universe
Unpolluted mind with mettle.

Mother, the healer of all sorrows
The torch bearer of every home
The follower and following
Of all goodness of nature.

The all giver for the kids,
The disciplinarian for the teens
The friendly beast for the old
And the joyous journey to hold.

Visiting Mother's Day once a year
Energise the weaken mind days ahead
Moving the day with love
Moments spent with God.
