Being THIS To Be THAT

Being the first to do this.
And with a label of that on one's back?
May suit well for a toy or novelty.
But for a human being?
Comparisons begin with no ending.

Expectations become a rating sensation.
To not how one feels.
But what one does to do.
As if to accept or disapprove.
Making life to live a challenge.
And then used by others,
Seeking what they perceive is attention to get.

Being this to be that.
With a doing to be laughed at.
Behind one's back.
Only makes one taken for granted,
Determined to prove...
Fools like this are Homegrown and made.

Leaving the one,
Being the first to go through with that...
More aware and observant.
As to who does what to do,
To go out of their way to prove...
Someone who is first to do this,
Is not born without feelings to have of that.
Nor easy to forget what stays to remain,
Remembered.
Yet not shown to carry as if baggage,
On a burdened back!
