Neglect To Accept As Expected
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
There is something that comes,
With it done to experience growing older.
And every second, minute, hour, day and year,
Learning to earn what no one has given.
Saying to mean what is meant to say,
With no explanation or apologies to leave?
Is a doing of that stage of life,
Few reach to seek approval to be accepted.
And...
A learning to do right,
After all the wrongs done to do when young...
Is a blessing to admit,
Time God has given to those now older to get.
To welcome every opportunity one receives,
To witness and see truth and reality...
For what it is.
On a daily basis to not await as if,
Shocked out of a fictioned way of life deluded.
With it then to pretend,
Of having a faith and loyalty to God...
Only when pain to suffer remorse and regret,
Comes convenient to express...
After and not before,
A doing unto others comes back to remind...
The ones with juvenile minds,
Growing up to avoid it...
Has consequences to pay to stay to age too!
And lieing to deceive oneself,
Does not make a difference...
To how one fakes their faith or age,
Kept to keep believed.
Although,
Momentarily the act...
Of being overwhelmed by thoughtfulness,
And a temporary display of caring for others...
May achieve the empathy,
One seeks and needs.
Yet...
Unknown when to express it shown!
Have you ever known,
Anyone who has purposely...
Stepped on someone else's toes?
To say nothing at all about it.
Then...
Make it their personal campaign,
To accuse and blame...
The one whose toes they stepped upon,
Has lied about the pain they felt.
And who had caused them the agony!
'No.
My experiences to have lived,
Near and around...
Decent and respectful people.
Who did their best to express,
Caring and concern for others...
Has been boring enough as it is.'
I don't believe that!
You mean to tell me,
No one you knew lied to get attention?
Or started an argument,
To then become angry at the person...
Who chose to ignore them?
That to do proves a mind not wrapped,
Too tight.
'I craved to have lived in that environment!'
And people are wondering,
What has happened to their normalcy.
Where was it to have ever been had?
And growing older,
To attempt the doing of it should be graceful?
Prepared and made to become mature.
Ready to answer questions,
From the young and youthful.
Less experienced in using their own minds.
Is...
But yet another myth.
You see,
It's like this...
Those who mature and grow older.
Responsible and accountable,
For their own actions to admit?
Are the very ones blamed to accuse,
Of not doing enough to prove themselves...
To have obtained acceptable knowledge,
That validates they can be used...
Disrespected, taken for granted and deceived.
Like most to age to grow older some become,
To expect the neglect to accept it!
'Comeon...
Stop this.
You actually accept neglect to expect it?'
Sure.
And from people who have been bored,
By creating lies to delude...
Themselves of being victimized.
And innocently wrongly treated.
With a purpose to keep them from lieing,
About events that never happened to them.
Does any of this sound familiar?
