Fire Wall

Not enough meaning shone through the outcome;
The means were tangled in broken plans.
In the end the only thing left was anger;
A rage more potent than shells of man.
Combating hatred with cooling whispers;
Conscience calms those shaking hands.
For a moment all was almost cinders,
Burning the demons beside the lambs.
For a moment it was almost fire,
Burning in the eyes of one last stand.
Wise men would cry it did not matter,
But how wise are flames when they are fanned?
