Life's Intervals
Douglas H. Mc Clintock 1934 (Sarnia, Ontario)
As the June Bug has a sense to live
The industrious squirrel hides a nut,
To survive is paramount for both
Even our animal friends think of tomorrow !
A prudent man saves for tomorrow
Too many drops, you can't work,
Ask any carpenter man, no work, no pay
My life is not always in bad luck !
Inflation is very high today
Takes two in the family to make ends meet,
But a homemaker is a full time job with no pay
So a working mom works double overtime !
We all like to have the good things in life
Four TVs a patio, and French Provincial furniture
Two cars for sure and some money in the bank,
Maybe a carbon fiber trek bike for added pleasure !
The Old Age Pension plus the Canada Pension Plan,
And maybe one of your own,
Now you are living the good life,
Is it all take and no give as your motto ?
So what is your life ?
Here today, but soon gone tomorrow
Only what's done for others
Will be on your monument !
Is it about you and family only,
Be prepared to hear the Word
Of your Heavenly Father
I never knew you !
Scoffers will always say
This Earth will never end,
Satan will always rule the land
Christians will die for their convictions !
The signs of the times are here,
God didn't create Adam and Steve
Evil will always win
Until the last drop of the martyr's blood is shed !
