Break me

M.R.P 2000 (Bushbuckridge)

Beaten, bruised, broken
Nothing worse can happen
Wrung I won't ooze
I have nothing to lose

So finish me
To beyond repair
I no longer care
Leave me wishing for a nightmare
Like Jonah in the sea
Throw me off board  to the fish
Like Job leave me where
Despair feels pity
Take me to the city
Of wilderness
Of no return

Break this system in my head
Leave me feeling dead
Let suicide be afraid
To come and lie on my bed
Scatter my pieces to places
Leave no traces, so they not found
So I remain a broken piece

Break me, give me no break
Break me till God breaks you
Till God restores me
To truth, not to before
