Love Poem #3

Come with me to far-flung
Places that we can turn into our
Own sacred sites.

Come with me to the edge
Of a canyon whose depth
We cannot perceive.

Come with me to the peak
Of a mountain where the thin air
And our kisses will leave each other breathless.

Come with me to the rain forest
And submit to the deluge as
Hummingbirds hover above the flowers.

Come with me to a sun-splashed lake,
Where the water will make us shiver
Until our embraces warm our skin.

Come with me to taste the days.
