Alone

Till I die
I’ll work hard to till the ground
Sweat off my brow
No comfort for me
To see you smile is the only peace I need
God condemned me long ago
I’m reaping what I didn’t sow
Sins of the father
Ancestors horrible past
Left to pick up the pieces
Cursed before birth
Don’t even know why I’m here
Hating my life
It won’t end
Till the ground name the animals
Need a helping hand
He put me to sleep and made a woman for a man
She’s beautiful of course
But she entertains the devil
He tempts her and she feeds me now I’m like a rebel
Removed from the garden
Now I have no purpose
Even my son is on the run for murder
Why Lord
Why did you make her for me?
Knowing all, you did this to me
To tell your story
Used me as a pawn
To paint some kind of picture
That an artist couldn’t have drawn
Made a fool of me
Not good that man should be alone
And after all was done
I ended up all alone
