They Say You Are The Problem

They say you are the problem

They befriend you only to deceive you
They steal from you
Look you in the eye
Lie to you

Business as usual
Reasons to give you the boot
Burdens and blame placed upon you
Both ears getting filled with crap

No one cares nothing matters
Blame going all around back and forth
Never resolved never understood
Confusion and pain is all you get
Being numb isn't even what it used to be

Yesterday was tomorrow
Today is yesterday
Time blending into another day
A day you just want to die

They cannot see their own folly
Their own problems
Thinking it's okay cuz they pay
Cuz they are above you

Only the short sighted see what they want
Only the big picture is their vision
Your stature in life don't allow for it
Your place is below
Held down accused of things not done

Face you
They cannot look into your eye
Cannot say true what is talked
Only what makes them look good

Blame and Burden on you
Let those know not what they appear
They are the very thing they loathe

They say you are the problem

About this poem

Reflect on this the next time you make a friend and you may discover that you don't want that friend. Be mindful and don't let your guard down.
