Aliens come and get us
Come undo the dirt that has been done
Don’t care if it’s done out of spite or you do it out of fun
Cause the human race is READY as failures galore
Just repeat, repeat, repeat
Knocking the good folks to the floor
Lordy come do your deed and free us from this fiasco
Make your move swift and as sharp as tabasco
For another day, another moment we just don’t seem to deserve
So wipe the slate clean with panache and verve
Now, not saying everyone in this big blue marble
Has totally failed
Some tried their best………..screamed, cried and wailed
While the evil blanketed the land with venom
I proudly say I now shall defend them
Those who chose the high road of compassion not hate
Those who voted to preserve not berate
Those who truly fought the good fight
Those who spoke truth…for in truth there is light
Vigilance was there but still the evil grew
So Aliens now please come erase the red, white and blue
But wait, please wait…………….here’s a brilliant idea!
How about before you descend on this pitiful race
Knock us all to our knees flat on our collective face
How about we just muster the courage to save this place
Raise TRUTH to the rafters turn the fiasco around!
Vote for veracity, for ethics for love!
With no bound!
Then perhaps, just maybe perhaps
We’ll not need obliteration from above
We’ll fulfill the dream we were meant to fulfill
Devoid of evil…replete with love
Where that love finally reigns, where we learn from our past
And form a BETTER union, finally, AT LAST!
Lordy have mercy won’t that be a blast!!!
Well……….it remains to be seen
Is it now too late?
Aliens above, maybe just once more
Give humanity a chance of sanity to explore
And maybe this time, we’ll win the good fight
But if we screw it up again…………we’re YOURS!
And to my way of thinking, that’s just alright!
