Separation

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

A wealth of wisdom flows out from your word
Enlightening my life with all that I’ve heard
Your justice rolls down from the mountains I love
It binds up the evil and gives it a shove

Off of the cliff and down to destruction
Welcome to Hell; it’s a rude introduction
Separation from God and a soul degradation
Is the source of your anger and all your frustration

You should have gotten up and opened your bible
The world has no answers; the Lord has no rivals
With a word from his mouth he just ended the war
With fire and brimstone; his foes are no more
