Self Competing

Difficult it is to defeat,
Anyone self competing.
And has been taught to reach,
A bettering of their own potential.
Blooming and permitted,
To continue to blossom and grow.

This potential unknown,
By others only shown...
A work still in progress.
To condone to then reveal...
What has been already accomplished.
An accomplishment concealed.
Prepared to reveal.
With a moving on to something else.

That something else,
Incapable to label or define.
Yet...
More challenging,
For one with a mind found to discover...
To be unsatisfied and seldom pleased,
By what has been done to achieve it.
That leaves a doing of it left behind.

And this to believe,
One who is self competing...
Has reached the limits of their creativity.
Although,
This self inflicting ambition,
To compete with oneself?
Is a life long commitment.
Having nothing to do with anyone else.
Who chooses to compete with the unknown!

'How is it that you do,
What it is done to do it?'

'Before, during or after?'

'I wish I knew to share that clue with you.'

'You don't know?'

'If I knew,
Why would I continue...
To compete with myself.
I would find it much easier,
To do that with you!'
