Untitled
This lost mind wanders in waves of wind
mapping out new endeavors lest to the fullest
moving forward to an edge of time
to eliquate itself from the confines of a cage
where it endlessly dreams of the day it would wake
a prisoner to a bed
nothing more, nothing less
a life lived to the expectations of the realist
About this poem
This poem to me signifies the struggle of self-expression in a world where dreams are shut down, and where conformity is often pushed onto the creative mind by those that matter the most.
