Release Me

Release Me 1996 (BETHLEHEM Free State)

RELEASE ME
Release me
Release me from the pain that has absorbed my soul
Release me from the hatred that has eaten all my insides
Release me because I can no longer carry on
Release me for this burden is too much for me
Release me for I am suffocating and drowning…
Oh release me from the prison of fear and anger
Save me from myself
Save me from the suffering
Oh my poor soul
Release me so I can tell my redemption story
I have survived
Now release me for I can no longer be captured
Release me

About this poem

I wrote this poem as a way to speak out and free myself from the pain I have endured in the past. I needed to be released in order to heal.
