Old Burning Bridge

Why do I keep trying to build this old burning bridge?

I repair the first wood plank then the second then the third
I mean everytime I repair that old burning bridge its holds for a little then it crumbles.

I wonder why that is...

As I think that this old burning bridge will hold I get to the fourth plank and then I look back just to see what I have rebuilt has crumbled once again. But now I'm stuck and dont know how to get the old burning bridge from crumbling.

I think to myself it's just a few planks what harm can they do so I try to build this burning bridge once again and once more to the point theres nothing left of that old burning bridge that I can build only one last plank which is slowly burning away

What should I do should I keep rebuilding or so I let this old bridge go.

Why do you keep burning your only bridge after I repaired it so many times? What is left of your bridge but that lonely plank that slowly burning... What are you going to do when that last plank crumbles?
