Intertwined

It's hard to be a poet
When the words have already been used
But I'm going to try
Because you make my heart light up
Thinking of you
The sun would not even be necessary
Except for its warmth
Just like the constant craving I have to be wrapped up in your words
You are the poet in fact
And I am the poem
Intertwined..
Which has been my favourite word forever
Now you have given meaning to it
And its deeper than any ocean or my comprehension
I am so grateful to you
To the universe
To God himself...
We may have taken the longest route
But the sentences I've always read
'What's meant to be will always find it's way'
How true.
How it makes so much sense
Even though our road is still long and still not straight
It is a road
And it only goes one way.

About this poem

I wrote this impulsive 3 minute poem in the week. I'm currently in a long-distance relationship where we share many poems and quotes we find on sites so I said I'd write him one
