Imagine That

Imagine that, those I'd finally allowed in my life,
Would want nothing to do with me in time.
Imagine that, those I'd I trust with the depths of me,
Would use it to forge the very weapons that destroy me.
Imagine that, I would reluctantly let my down my guard,
For those who entered to not have an  empathetic understanding
Imagine that, I'd open up exposing my beating heart,
Just so you can lie ,laugh, and abandoned me yet again.
Imagine that, the very constructors of my damaging shame,
Would step aside so quietly and let me take on the blame....

About this poem

Well I've been thru a lot in life, a whole lot. And everyone trying to "put me on the right track" ended up dragging me tru the mud and mucking it all up in the end. Then stood back and pointed the blame my way when things got bad, but never admitting or noticing their part in it all.
