We Must Always Trust

We Must Always Trust
Author: Mark V. Markov

If there is a misunderstanding
When we read
The word of God
we must always trust
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Apostle Paul
Was baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit
But prior to that
He was a human being
From the tribe of Benjamin

And after the baptism
He was still a human being
Yet being led
By the Holy Spirit.

He never specifically said
That he had instruction from the Lord
To stop baptizing.

People cannot twist his words
To make it sound like
Baptism is no longer necessary.

What he said was
That many were boasting
About who baptized them
And he said that he was happy
That he only baptized a few
So there would not be any boasting

He also said
That his calling was to teach and to preach
Which was confirmed by his circumstances
since he was confined to one area
For a long period of time
And was not able to leave

He could not go to the river and baptize others
That is why he said
His calling was to teach and to preach.
But he never said
That the Lord told him
To tell others
To stop baptizing.

So therefore
What our Lord Jesus Christ said
What He instructed,
still remains,
As an instruction to every believer.
"He that believes and is baptized
Shall be saved
But he that will not,
Will be condemned"

When Paul was born
People did not baptize,
Every believer in the Holy Spirit.
There were mainly
Some prophets and prophetess
With the power of the Holy Spirit
And that was about it.

Going back in history
Usually when someone became a king in Israel
They were anointed with oil
And the Holy Spirit would lead them.

If there is a misunderstanding
When we read
The word of God
We must always trust
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Since Jesus Christ always existed with God the Father
Before the creation of the world
As it was written
The word was with God
And the word was God

Meaning the only Begotten Son
Was with God the Father
And the only Begotten Son
Was God the Son

When He became human
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit
In the virgin Mary
As mentioned
in the prophesy of Isaiah
"Behold the virgin shall conceive a child"

If there is a misunderstanding
When we read
The word of God
we must always trust,
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...

John 1:1-5 (ESV)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 He was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made through him,
and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life,
and the life was the light of men.

5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

1 John 1:1-4 (ESV)

The Word of Life

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes,
which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life—

2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life,
which was with the Father and was made manifest to us—

3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you,
so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father
and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4 And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

Isaiah 7:14 (ESV)

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

1 Corinthians 1:10-16 (ESV)

10 I appeal to you, brothers,by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree,
and that there be no divisions among you,
but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

11 For it has been reported to me by Chloe's people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers.

12 What I mean is that each one of you says, "I follow Paul," or "I follow Apollos," or "I follow Cephas,"
or "I follow Christ."

13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

14 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

15 so that no one may say that you were baptized in my name.

16 (I did baptize also the household of Stephanas.
Beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized anyone else.)

Mark 16:14-16 (ESV)

14 Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table,
and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart,
because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.

15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.

16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
