Close As Almost Gets

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Denial to live it,
Is getting as close as almost gets.
For nonbelievers of the truth,
To refuse it with excuses...
Used as a defense,
Diminishing more each day.
As truth to face,
Will not from them be chased away.

Truth may be deceived.
And believed can be made,
Into lies to tell and sold to sell them well.
But a living to deceive a reality not to exist,
Eventually leaves...
Long lasting mental defects.
Effectively proving,
Truth to avoid...
Is an expense,
Everyone ultimately regrets...
The price of it to pay.

And as truth to face,
Getting closer as it is each day.
There is no almost for anyone,
Left to ignore or pretend...
They can keep themselves,
Hidden and immune.
While choosing fiction to delude.
As a normal way of life to live.
In an isolated craze betrayed by reality!

'I am determined,
To keep it all away from my children.'

'What?
Fiction to delude?
Truth to reject the presence of it?
Reality?
Or a craze that may affect their mentalities.
If you prevent them from knowing the truth?'

'That depends?'

'On what?'

'What I teach them to believe.'
