Real fake

Don't be like wrestling

Did you ever watch wrestling when you were little, joyfully anticipating when it was about to show up. It was a feeling of excitement unlike no other. You loved how it felt like apart of your world, gave you an appreciation you didn't know existed. Then one day you learn that it's not real, a facade, it's all just a game. You still continue to watch, and enjoy it, but it's not the same. It almost let you down because what was once special turned out to be a lie. The lie doesn't hurt as much as the forced change of perception. So you still keep watching, but you can't forget how the deception and lie let you down. Wrestling is fake, but life is real. So in life, please don't be like wrestling.

About this poem

Inspired by ex gfs that lied, cheated, or broke me. And how the pain they put me through didn't hurt as bad as being forced to change my perception of someone In ways I never would've thought I'd one day think of in a negative way.
