CRYSTAL MANOR HOUSE

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

High in the crystal manor
Evil residents reside,
Along with all that's evil
The good stay safe outside.

Lurid grey-white phantoms
Too horrid to ever tell,
Slink around the corridors
Creatures from Dante's Hell.

Indescribably loathsome
They wreak of only death,
A foul effluvium spews out
With their every breath.

Gold and silver statuettes
Lure in greedy and gullible,
To where abominations wait
Readying to make a kill.

Monsters of all descriptions
From some bygone time,
Come to hide in the manor
From some distant clime.

High in the crystal manor
Evil forces are waiting,
To commit horrendous crimes
Their minds are contemplating.

Horror is slowly rising
Within these gruesome halls,
Mayhem to the Nth degree
As the time-traveller calls.

Back and forth he journeys
Travelling throughout history,
He changes whatever he wants
Until true time is just a mystery.
