The boy

I will gladly walk through all my years of pain a hundred times over if you promise to meet me right here at this perfect moment.
My walls have crumbled underneath your beautiful eyes and soothing voice.
I no longer wish to rebuild those walls, I want to plant a garden for you to sit in with me.

About this poem

I wrote a series of short phrases describing this magnificent creature. This was the first piece with more than one phrase in it. Most poets have something that tortures them, the subject of this piece is mine.

Jessica Giger

Daydreaming, earthwalking, cloud-dwelling girl. Seen and been through enough pain to write about forever, but loves to write about love. Love for her friends, her son, her family and her very grave affection for a special boy who is just out of her reach but always in her world. While working through her day filled with chores and real grown up things, her heart and mind is captivated by words. Filled with an insane compulsion, she has to write them down so they can escape from the prison which is her mind. Poetry also releases her from her own cage. more…
