Newborn Mother

Newborn Mother

The lull of recorded ocean waves
The petulance of nature’s wind
Rocking this chair again and again
Prayers silently recited
Be well my baby, be well

The minutes melt away
holding you in my arms
My love radiates the room
Hushing the night again and again
Sleep well my baby, sleep well

The light of just dawn smiles on your face.
Your breathe continues wrapped in my arms. Refuge given to my nightly worries.
The bird chorus rejoices.
Stay well little baby,stay well.
