WAS SHE WRONG FOR LOVING ME???

What is love, can someone tell me,
I thought I knew, I thought it had found me,
I had fallen in love, and she had also fallen for me,
I put up a fight, and she also fought hard for me,
We were happy, I had surely found the one for me,
For a minute there, she meant the whole world to me,
 It was amazing, but she just wasn't meant for me,
She loved me, but she was forbidden to be with me,
I'd have done anything, but sadly it wasn’t up to me,
We were in love, but I decided it wasn't meant to be,
She was my everything, but I knew I had to set her free,
It was so hard, over time that love had really grown on me,
For long I felt her absence, she had left a vacuum in me,
I grieved, I just couldn't accept she was no longer with me,
She was my everything, and yet we weren't meant to be,
so tell me, does love sprout where it's not supposed to be,
I loved her and her me, but they ridiculed her for loving me,
love is love, it chose to grow in her just like it had chosen me,
I love her and she loves me, that will always be enough for me,
Perhaps a day will come and they will decide to let us be.
