YOU, WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?

Kennedy Mwangi 1998 (Nairobi)

I've been reading books, really trying to find something new,
Studied the stars, trying to understand this thing about you,
talked to sages, but I still can't explain what I feel about you,
this sensation I feel, touches my soul whenever I see you,
now my heart is full, for every chamber has a piece of you,
my mind is calm, cause all the storms are afraid of you,
you can look inside me, for my soul is an open book to you,
I have no darkness, cause you brought the light with you,
I'm even stronger, it's like day after day I'm energized by you,
All the books I read, can't seem to explain this feeling about you,
All I know is that, my heart led me straight and true to you,
and now I'm mesmerized and belong to none other but you.
