Do they love me?

Candice Sapp 1982 (Morgantown West Virginia)

One of the most painful moments in my life happened when I realized those I loved were not out for my best interest, but only for their own.
They saw me struggle. They were jealous of my strength.. So instead of fighting alongside me, they fought to bring me down. But no matter how fiercely the storms raged, I was and always would be..
undeniably unstoppable..
Let them judge you. Let them misunderstand you. Let them gossip about you. Their opinions are not your problem. You stay kind, and free in your own authenticity. No matter what they do or say. Don't you dare doubt your worth or the beauty of your truth. Just keep on shining like you do. Listen to your heart and take risks carefully. Remember god is with us everyday... Never stop being yourself...
