Ballerina Lilly

The ballerina sat beside the waters
Like a lilly floating on the pads of stepping leaves.
And she imagined floating away with the ripples of light reflecting on each subtle wave.
She had a bracelet that spun trinkets around her wrist and white ballet tights that she dipped in like fishing reels for the fish to nibble at.
Her ballet shoe ribboned over her lap like twin dolls that she made talk one girl and one boy.
Her hair was tied in three buns and made her stand out above all the other dancers.
Her feet were crossed and became a little numb so she continued home in silence with her mother.
