Glass water

She watched from an oak tree
Fallen long ago
An angel fed a human child
Shed hidden from its goal
For it had once been chosen
To live in heavens fold
And she bathed it in glass water
Beside a waterfall
She raised it with the deer's
The rabbits and the shrew
And kept it safe
Even from what the gods could do
She taught it how to talk to turtles
In the pool like jewel
And saw it in his eyes
What mastery could do.
She held him in such bubble
That no psychic could get through
And when it came that he had lived his whole life on the shore
She considered it her true purpose to share her love no more
But something caught her eye
In the oak tree hid away
It was the oldest women
And she'd asked her not to stray
And where is your son
Has he shied away
And the angel said your time is done
And with him you will stay
To look after him for me
While I get on my way
And she took them both to heaven
One on every wing
And said to god almighty
Its, the strangest thing.
It was as I were human
With a living god
For I had never felt
So much light and love
Of the lord.
