Starving The Feast

Ok.
Let this be said in a different way.
And in poetic delivery.
With it possibly not to offend anyone.
Taking these comments to make them,
Personally.

Even starving the feast,
Of the ones today...
Feasting to greed selfishly.
To be awakened to feel,
A temporary guilt and remorse.
Will make little difference,
If they contributed to pay...
Thousands of dollars,
From the millions stashed away.
With a doing to donate a percentage of it,
To those in need.
Devastated from homelessness, hunger.
And decades of being treated,
Like less than human beings.

Whatever it is,
Guilt driven feasting greeters....
On their approving selfishness do.
Will not remove the dust collected,
To notice a profit to fill holes...
In pockets of the long forgotten to ignore.

And neither will this wealth collected,
Stolen to hoard secretly to hide.
Diminish the increasing,
Skyrocketing cost of living.
The ones wealthy, rich and pretentiously,
Self indulgent.
Will not pay a cent of taxes they invent.
With loopholes they create for themselves.
To escape from paying a dime.

Although...
Their empathizing to express,
Opportunistic ways...
To address their thoughts and feelings,
Open and publicly to confess them?
Is priceless in their performance of it!

Knowing...
Their feasting to feed selfishly?
Is an act they will continue on to perform.
Religiously.
And...
Poetically speaking,
Of course.
