Our Dystopian Present

Jimmy Ash 1983 (Saint Louis, Missouri)

This is getting out of hand,
the chaos that thrives upon the streets.
Kids killing kids out of hate and greed,
A world not far from destruction.
Not even safe in our blankets,
for fear of the wicked souls left outside.
Death on every corner, waiting for a ride.
Spirits of the damned, scream their mistakes.
The night a haven for the decrepid,
needles and guns flow like the river.
Mankind and nature, sacrificed ritually,
to feed the war machines of our ancestors.
Nowhere to turn but to Mother Earth,
to keep us warm within her bosom.
All in all, we are cursed...
Like father, like gun, let's take a walk.
Following the bloody steps of forefathers.
Repeating Armageddon, for just a few dollars. "
