How Many Ways

How many ways can I say
That you're the one.
My angel from heaven
The only woman
That I could ever want
To share my life with.

Because what we have
Could never be duplicated.
No one will ever have
Your smile,  your eyes
Or that look you give me
When I say I love you.

No one could ever replace
The memories we've built
Over a lifetime of love
No one could make me
Feel the way I do
When you walk into a room.

How could any woman
In a brief moment, ever
Give me what you have;
Your heart,  your mind
Or your ability to love me
Despite all my weaknesses

I am yours completely
Yesterday, today and forever.
My love for you is infinite
Immeasurable and eternal.
There will never be a reason
To doubt that I am yours

David Marchant

I've been writing poetry since I was in High School. My poems have been inspired by many things; nature, love, romance, grief and my own journey with PTSD. Three of my poems about PTSD have been published in a national magazine. One of my poems were used at lyrics for a hymn that was published in a local magazine and included in a choral music recording in Australia. Mostly I write poetry to help me cope with life. more…
