Happiness

Happiness
A privilege to some, a search for others
A feeling that is not always guaranteed
It could last long
It can never be found
But in our heart we aim to plant that seed

In our early years, it starts with security
Mom and Dad seem to be all that we need
We experience pain
We fear the visible dark
We grow and develop on what we feed

The secret of Happiness lies in True Love
For without it it’s death indeed
God is Love, God is Life
He’s the Truth
Once he dwells in us, we can never bleed

He shows us signs, he wants us to believe
He waits on us to call him so he can intercede
No matter who we are or where we come from
Without the Lord, we are empty
Seek him, take heed!

Troubles in life are inevitable
Blessing for hearts whom God they feared
Let us grow in patience
Rely not on ourselves
And behold God’s miracles when he’s obeyed
