Dream Girl

Today I awoke feeling anew.
As if I caught a glimpse of you.
Our perfect love in perfect view.
All captured when our eyes locked for a moment or two.
You wore a smile that was pure and sure,
Leaving my heart yearning for more.
A fog appeared and then you vanished.
But a voice within assured me not to panic.
For this is only the beginning.
Of what is destined to be our happy ending.
And from this glimpse I got a taste,
of all the time I cannot waste.
Prepping my mind, body, and soul for you.
In hopes that one day you will see me too.
So until then, when we reconvene.
Signed with love - the Woman of Your Dreams.

About this poem

This poem is the result of a reassuring feeling I had one morning, after realizing that everything is on divine timing. I can rest assured knowing that I am doing the work to prepare myself for the love of my life. Whomever/Wherever he is.
