A While From Now

Days in and days out I thought I wasn't good enough
Even though days in and days out I gave u all my love
So now we're here at this point where I thought I couldn't survive
And my heart is still beating, it's broken but it's alive
It's pumping my blood a way it hasn't pumped in a long time
It's replaying shit that I chucked up to being blind
And convinced my self that the picture I was painting
Was worth every tear was worth all my time
But it's not enough words to describe what I feel inside

Because I......Gave u more then I ever gave before
There a difference between love and adore
And u just let it walk out the door How u feel now
Cuz u gotta replace something that u lost

Theres no upgrade theres no more levels for u to go
U was on the top floor now ur badge has been revoked
Yeah I walked out the door to let these niggas know
To take the trash out, trust u ain't brake my hope

This gonna be the longest staircase u ever walk down
U get no food no juice and ur elevator pass don't work now
See I get to replace a mistake and get something better
And if u knew better you'd do better cuz all u got now.....
Is the fans in them letters

So sad to lose everything that u had
Everything that we shared yeah the Good and bad
And that's what makes character, seasoning on the food
my shit is matured I guess ur not done wit school

So to be a superstar a diamond in the rough
The main event star or the starting point gaurd
U take the shit that's hard and keep rolling wit the punches
And appreciate ur partner cuz your partner is ur crutches

But u may not understand it now
And If u do find better... These bitter tears will be proud out loud
But I promise it ain't another person like me around
And that's what happens when u fall from the top to the ground
But it's gonna take a while before u even realize
Your smile... Is really a frown

About this poem

Sometimes we feel less of ourselves after a break up. But we remember through pain our worth and the break up is really their loss
